The Role

We are looking for an experienced sales manager to join MTC Industries, to lead the equipment sales team, a fast-growing new equipment (Capsule machines, tablet machines, bottle, gummy, stick-pack, Jar packaging machines…) supplier in the nutraceutical / pharmaceutical industry. Dual reporting to the VP of Sales and CEO, this position will lead all aspects of equipment sales and engineering support across multiple categories and product tiers. The Sales Manager will need to have at least 5 years’ sales experience in the equipment business development and will help maintain existing key accounts relationships, bring in his own accounts as well as develop new relationships with new customers. The position is a key role in the organization and will contribute highly to the company’s ongoing success and growth.

The ideal candidate is sharp, a quick learner, and takes ownership of its products and client’s relationships. The Equipment Sales Manager must be highly detailed-oriented and demonstrate an ability to adapt and respond in a highly dynamic and competitive environment. They must demonstrate clear and effective communication, while maintaining discretion and professionalism. This position will work collaboratively across the entire organization and be the main point of contact for its products and clients’ relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of the sales process from purchasing selection and engineering qualification to the accurate and timely quotation and delivery of the equipment whole offering package
  • Maintain industry knowledge of competitive landscape and market trends, responding to and anticipating current and future market conditions
  • Effective negotiation of product price, quality, specifications, and terms and conditions for each product and order, ensuring accurate client’s required products
  • Maintain existing clients’ relationships as well as develop new clients in the new territory and industries.
  • Collect IQ/OQ/PQ/DQ documents, operation manual, brochures and related information per customers’ requests and SOP requirements
  • Create and maintain POs, customer accounts, and material codes in SAP
  • Qualify new equipment manufacturers and new machines under internal SOP system
  • Provide shipment details and update changes in shipment information as required
  • Join weekly internal machinery engineering meetings to discuss status of current and expected orders
  • Collaborate across all departments of the organization to drive sales and growth
  • Other responsibilities and duties as required

Qualifications / Education

  • Always sales goal oriented.
  • Bachelor’s degree required. mechanic and electric engineering major preferred
  • Proven experience (5 years) as a sales rep or manager or equivalent role
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate with clients in a highly dynamic and competitive environment
  • Knowledge of competitive landscape, market trends and equipment information and qualifications
  • Demonstrate the highest level of work ethic and discretion given confidentiality of information
  • High level of organization and attention to detail ensuring machinery accuracy and documentation compliance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team orientated and highly collaborative
  • Proficient in emails, MS Office and SAP
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
